"I Take A Walk Outside"

I take a walk outside
And wish you by my side.
Nothing seems as gray
As when you're far away.

Come back into my dreams
And mend their broken seams.
Long before robins sing
You're my first hint of spring.

It seems like three perennial words are called for here: Let me explain...

You know me better than most do (that's why I let you keep some of my dark secrets). And you know when it comes to matters of the heart I'm ten time more foolish than anyone you'll ever meet. Foolish as in this: I give myself away too soon and way too completely. This poem was constructed under one of those unfortunate circumstances where the cartload of emotions once again steered the horse over the cliffs of reason... In short, a false alarm.
